We should often examine our own thinking: Where are we accepting a false ideal? Where are we passing judgments when we should be offering grace?
I have been earnestly focused on a single star, while He patiently gestures to the galaxy.
Both are more truly felt if you let them coexist, versus partnering with one and trying to ignore the other.
Several months ago after turning 40, I challenged myself to go on 40 dates in one year. With the speed dating event, I was up to 13 dates so far.
My healing has been a long journey. Though I no longer struggle with bulimia, I will struggle with self-image for the rest of my life.
A broken heart doesn’t mean you guys did something wrong. Great pain comes from great risk— and so does great possibilities.
